We had the pre-show at the Mujeres Con Exito location last night. All proceeds from art sales will go to them. Tomorrow, March 9, we will have the full show with over 45 works of art at IdiomART. The artists and organizers are very excited about the culmination of a year’s work being brought to the public.
Artist Janda Grove, spearheaded this project to engage in a little-known transfer process using oil pastels on Vellum paper. Transferencia-Impressions of Cuenca Art Exhibit, uses features of historic Cuenca (ironwork, tiles, doors and more) as the starting point for the images.
Please come to check it out for your own enjoyment, but most of all, to serve the well-established charity that really helps women and children who are abused and have nowhere to turn. They are given support, caring and help for developing skills that will keep them safe.
We hope to see you this Thursday at IdiomArt. Luis Ulluari, who was voted Cuenca’s Best Solo Artist, will be on hand to serenade you and there will also be a cash bar.
