This workshop will be taught by the Argentine instructor, Natacha Hugon. In this practical event we will learn to analyze and identify different types of soil, their basic characteristics, the elements that compose them and the variety in their proportions.
The participants will carry out sensory tests to identify the soils and interpret the results to elaborate optimal mixtures, develop criteria for selecting suitable soils for this technique of murals with stabilized raw earth padding.
After that, we will prepare optimal mixtures and in addition to the natural colors of the earth, use mineral pigments to obtain a wider range of tones, transfer a previously elaborated design to the wall, apply the color in “empañetes” and use different decorative techniques to obtain a unique product, artisan and artistic of high quality, which stands out for its particular aesthetic and expressive language.
