US checks to Ecuador

From time to time, I deposit a US check to my account at Pichincha. It used to take about 10 days to be good funds at Pichincha. Now it is taking 21 days or more.

Does anyone know if there are other banks or cooperativas that take less time? Also, what are the maximum amounts for a US check deposited to them?
