Basic Drumming Lesson before Drum Circle

Do you enjoy drumming but you aren’t quite sure how to do it? Have you been wanting to learn some of the basics so you can keep up in a drum circle? Have you wanted to join a drum circle but feel intimidated? Then look no further!

Cuban musician, Noel Batista, will be teaching a one-hour intro to drumming lesson right before our monthly drum circle. In the class, you will learn some basic techniques and one or two simple rhythms, which you can then practice in the drum circle immediately afterward! He is charging $5, which you will pay him directly. All we ask is that you let us know if you would like to participate so he can be prepared.

Then we have our monthly drum circle, which is always so much fun!
Playing music, especially rhythms, spontaneously with a group is a powerful thing and that moment when we all connect…well, there’s nothing like it really!

For both activities, we ask that you please bring your own instrument if you have one as we don’t have too many extras.

All ages and levels welcome.
