As you know, this coming February 5th, the different provinces in Ecuador will elect new authorities…
Counties will elect new mayors and provinces will elect new Prefectos.
Also, parishes will choose new Presidents of the parish and more.
So, President Guillermo Lasso, with executive order, gives a free day to all Ecuador for February 6th, the day after the elections; no work in public and private institutions, no schools, high schools or universities, but, the public administrations will have to work an extra hour per day, until they recover the free day.
For private workers, the boss and the employee have to decide how to recover the free day.
