As an expat with a permanent retirement visa, my Cedula is due for its 10 year renewal. Please, what is the process, what documents are needed, etc.? Please reply on GringoPost.

My name is Bernardo. An animal protection organization rescued me a few months ago. I had a fracture in my leg. With the help of Zaboos Animal Protection Organization I had surgery and after several physical rehabilitation sessions, today I run and walk normally; but now I need a responsible home, because where I currently live they can no longer support me.
I am a large breed puppy. I need a family and a spacious place to play and run.
Help me find a home, please.

Most of us wait until the last minute to do things. Well, when I lived in the US and it came to Valentines, I would rush in at the last minute to my neighborhood grocery store and buy roses that had probably been there for 10 days.
Don’t do what The Rose Guy used to do. Put special thought into who you are orders for and send what are undoubtedly “The World’s Most Beautiful Roses to family and loved ones in the US. Farm direct to any US address in 4 days. That means you will get a tremendously extended life time with your order.
The Rose Guy is going to offer 50 long stem roses, one color for his incredible low price of $79 delivered from our farm to any US address for Valentines. Want two colors, 25 of each color, pay just $10 more.
To encourage you to order early we will increase the price slightly each week, so the quicker you act the more savings you will enjoy. Right now that is a $26 savings.

JJ was literally thrown out of the gate of the home that he had probably grown up in. The old lady lives in a shack of a house and said she didn’t want him. He ran across the street stopping 5 feet from the sidewalk, and just stood there. I chased him back to the other sidewalk where I had been walking, put the yoga strap on for a lead (I’d just bought). He ran to the gate of the only home he knew and his mother dog was lying next to the gate looking at him with her under the 4” space between the solid bottom of the gate and the dirt driveway and she was crying. He was trying to get through the gate and he too was crying!
I was finally able to pull him out and get him to come with me. I tried to get a taxi, but the empty ones just passed us by. Finally, one stopped and told me he would not take a dog. I walked him back to where I could sit down and figure out what to do next. He continued to cry on and off and trembled often. We went to vet Dr. Gallardo (a prince among vets). JJ was full of fleas and some ticks too.

“That’s just the way it is”, she was told.
“Immersion is the best way to learn the language”, she was told.
And she gave it a shot (immersion)…
But after living in Ecuador for a few years and still feeling lost and excluded because she couldn’t follow or participate in the conversations around her, Cathy Cunningham realized it was time to try something different.
Not to say that she hadn’t already sought help though. She did.
She had tried two different bilingual teachers but kept getting the “That’s just the way it is” answer to her questions.
But that didn’t cut it for her.
She, like me (and many others!) – needs to know the reason why things are done/said in a certain way, in order to truly understand.
Without the answers, she was stuck.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a powerful antioxidant that plays a crucial role in overall health.
High-dose vitamin C is crucial to a healthy body and contributes to your immune defense by supporting and directly stimulating various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune systems.
Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant and is responsible for many functions in the body. While not all of our oral supplements are fully absorbed, IV delivery of vitamin C ensures that 100% of the vitamin is bioavailable. In addition, when given high doses, Vitamin C converts from an antioxidant to an oxidative therapy.
Failing to get enough vitamin C can result in deficiencies that may result in poor wound healing, easy bruising, bleeding of the gums, and anemia. In addition, since vitamin C aids in iron absorption, a severe deficiency may cause scurvy, a disease categorized by extreme weakness, bruising, bleeding, and lethargy.

We are excited to announce that our next art exhibition at idiomART is a fundraiser to help raise money for the Cuenca Soup Kitchen!
We will have artwork by Burt Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Juan Garcia, Peter Dudar, Alberto Soriano, Maité Eusebio, Margot Manosalvas, Susan Armstrong, Cristian Leon and Pedro Pablo Tocabens. We will also have an incredible musical presentation by local opera singer, Christian Castro!
The Cuenca Soup Kitchen has been committed to providing food to those most in need for over five years.
CSK provides food for approximately 1,000 hungry people. Each family in our program is screened and followed by a social worker. As they reach stability they are transitioned out of the program, making room for others in need.
In addition to food CSK provides:
– Eco-friendly hygiene products for women and babies
– Donated clothing and household items
– Hats and other warm and soft clothing for babies, the elderly, cancer patients
– Birthday recognition for every child in our program
In addition to our partnerships that serve families within the city of Cuenca, the Cuenca Soup Kitchen reacts to urgent needs. Sometimes this need is created by natural disasters such as flooding and landslides. In these cases the CSK provides food and hygiene products as communities work towards stabilization.
The exhibition is until Feb. 2
The opening is Thursday, Jan. 19 from 6 – 8 PM at idiomART. Free entrance,
