Hello everyone! I’m Christian Muñoz, I live in Cuenca, Ecuador. I’m 27 years old and I suffer of diabetes since I was 4. To be honest, diabetes hasn’t been a big trouble for me, I have managed it very good with discipline and organization combining with all the other activities I’ve done in my life. But unfortunately, this isn’t the history for all the patients with this condition…
I’m an ambassador of a diabetes foundation of California, USA, called Beyond Type 1 (https://beyondtype1.org/). They gathered 50 people with diabetes of many countries for run New York City Marathon on November 6, I’m one of those lucky 50. I’m runner like 4 years ago and I love to share the message that with diabetes you can do everything, you “just” need access to a treatment, education and be disciplined.
So, I’m here to ask for your help to fundraise for all Beyond Type 1 programs and projects that benefit thousands of people with diabetes all over the world. The goal is $3000 until December 31, 2022.
