A couple of expats who lived in Cuenca decided to return to the US (both are in an advanced age), they left some money at their account in Banco Pichincha. Their debit card unfortunately expired and now they are stuck: they cannot travel to Ecuador to handle their debit card renewal, their money is frozen at the bank. I tried to help them, I went to Banco Pichincha. Unfortunately the answer I got did not do anything to resolve my friends’ problem.
If anybody else confronted the same, or similar problem would like to share their experience and give some suggestions how to help to resolve this issue I will greatly appreciate it.
