A Discussion of Humor by Leroy Kent

Today, jokes have almost entirely disappeared from public contexts, and have become a discreet affair, reserved for trusted friends. This is a huge loss to society as a whole.

The dispute about the propriety of certain jokes is regularly rehashed. One side says that humor insidiously molds our attitudes and that we must vigilantly censor jokes that might offend in order to reduce prejudice and protect the powerless.

The other side wonders what has happened to our collective sense of humor. Possibly the shift to giving everyone participation trophies has made people too fragile to hear ideas that they may not agree with.

A number of people have taken exception with my attempts at humor. Those people espouse personal attacks and state with certainty their own moral and ethical superiority. But their rantings all suffer from one fatal flaw. Those persons have confused the target of the joke with the subject of the joke.

Environmental chamber

Programmable constant temperature and humidity test chamber for sale.

It is probably the only machine of its kind in Ecuador. Perfect for any lab (university, hospital, certified testing labs…) that needs to test the effects of specified environmental conditions on biological items, industrial products, materials, and electronic devices and components.
Also can be used for a small-scale production or research and development where maintaining constant temperature and humidity is required.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to abandon our original plan of cultivating specific probiotic cultures and used it only a few times for test production of dry dog food. The machine is as new.

Construction insurance: An intangible life-saver by Bluebox

Ecuador, in addition to being known for its magical tourist destinations, gastronomy, and unique flora and fauna, is also known for being within the Pacific Ring of Fire. This means that seismic activity is something to consider before striking ground and building a house in Ecuador. Additionally, you should consider who you will hire for the execution of your work and what guarantees this builder offers you. The quality of work and type of construction policy you agree upon will make a difference!

A good construction policy will allow the building process to be easy and simple, since your house will be insured from its foundation all the way through the construction process until the delivery of the house. A construction policy guarantees that in the event of any natural or seismic event, the foundation will be insured and you will not lose the money you have invested in building the property. When buying a construction policy, the insurance company will start by verifying that the chosen builder is reputable. This builder must have experience building similar properties and no history of failed constructions. Many companies will not be able to insure you if the builder does not meet these requirements as the work of the builder cannot be guaranteed. In terms of coverage, if your house is in the middle of construction and suddenly an earthquake fractures a column or one of the walls, the company will carry out an inspection to verify the reasons for this fracture and the expert will determine the amount to compensate you for the reported damage. In the case that it is necessary to tear down everything and rebuild, this expense will also be covered by the insurance company.

Claro mobile phone service in Ecuador vs Brazil

My boyfriend and I are currently in Brazil. We both have Claro SIM cards in our mobile phones with Brazilian phone numbers. I had to swap out my USA SIM card when I arrived in Brazil this year. When we come to Ecuador this year willows Claro service remain the same or will we have to get a new SIM card in Ecuador? Now that I write that out it seems like a question for Claro. But my Portuguese is not good enough to ask them! Haha.

Full body deep tissue massage – 90-minutes session

A deep tissue massage is a type of massage that aims to invigorate and heal a person’s muscles and connective tissue.

Deep tissue massage works on specific areas of muscle tension in the body. Stress, bad postures, or intensive physical activity can cause contracted muscles, and the best way to treat this is a good massage.

The main benefit of a deep tissue massage is that it can help relieve pain caused by stressed and strained muscles—the massage focus on targeting specific muscles and connective tissue.

A deep tissue massage can also help improve muscle function, which can be handy for athletes and anyone physically active. In addition, deep tissue massage treats the muscles as an entire unit; it can help improve how a person moves by improving their posture and alignment. It can help people with back pain, recent injuries, and sports-related injuries.

Anyone can benefit from IV therapy, but some more likely candidates or conditions include athletes, adrenal fatigue/ insufficiency, common old, weak immune system, fatigue, hormone imbalance, low mood, digestive disorders, skin issues, heavy metal buildup, brain fog, upper respiratory tract infections and many more.

Recommendation for Bryan Vidal, Catsa Travel, travel agency

My husband and I had urgent need for unexpected travel this spring/early summer. My first trip was to NY and involved 4 legs. His trip was to Boston and was just as complicated. Then I had further need for travel inside Ecuador involving 3 other parties and hotels and drivers. It was all last-minute.

Bryan Vidal and his company Catsa, located across from the Acropolis Building in El Vergel, came through brilliantly. Excellent, cost-efficient reservations; great advice on meeting Covid requirements, on hotels, on travel/medical insurance; and frequent follow-up to make sure everything went according to plan. It was all so much more than we could ever have put together for ourselves. In so short a time.
