Íñigo Pirfano directs the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra

The renowned Orchestra Director Íñigo Pirfano (Spain) has been invited to direct the concert scheduled by the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra for Friday, July 29. The event that occurs at the Theater of the House of Culture in Cuenca, at 8 PM is with free entry until capacity is filled, respecting all biosecurity measures.

Íñigo Pirfano – Director of Symphony Orchestra. (Bilbao, 1973). He belongs to an emerging generation of orchestra directors that combines the overflowing energy of youth, with the maturity of an already consolidated professional experience. He studied orchestra, choir and opera in Austria and Germany with the Karl Kamper, Karl-Heinz Bloemeke, Sir Colin Davis and Kurt Masur teachers. He was founder of the academic orchestra of Madrid, and its musical director for 15 years. For his work at the head of this training, he was awarded in 2012 with the ‘Young Leadership Award’ by the Rafael del Pino Foundation.
As a guest director, he has worked in Spain, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Panama, with orchestras and choirs such as the Hamburg Symphony, Szczecin Filmonic, Bratislava Symphony, Bratislava, Bratislava, Nordiska Kammarorororkstern, Symphony of Euskadi, Symphony of Bilbao, Orfeón Donostiarra, Symphony of Castilla y León, Symphony of Navarra, National Symphony of Colombia, National Symphony of Peru, Symphony of Guayaquil, Municipal Philharmonic of Guayaquil, Symphony of Loja, Philharmonic of Boca de Boca de Boca Del Río, National Symphony of Panama, among others. Likewise, he has accompanied singers such as Ainhoa ​​Arteta, Aquiles Machado, Sylvia Schwartz, María José Montiel, etc. He made his operatic debut with a production of The Altarpiece of Maestro Pedro de Manuel de Falla, very praised by critics and the public.

Bachelor of Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid, he develops an important facet as an essayist and “speaker”, parallel to his career as director of Symphony Orchestra. He has published three books: Drivers. The power of beauty (meeting, 2012), musical intelligence (Editorial Platform, 2013) and music to read (Editorial Platform, 2015), the latter, extended by Plácido Domingo. As a speaker, it is required by some of the most important forums in Spain and Latin America, such as Telefónica Foundation, Banco Santander, IE Business School, Rafael del Pino Foundation, BBVA, International Center for Leadership Development, IESE Business School, Janssen Cilag, Grupo Zurich , Banco Davivienda, La Caixa, etc.
