Cuenca, July 20, 2022. – The Ministry of Culture and Heritage, through the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra, will present a music scene at the Fair ”Childhood with a future” on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 10 AM to 2 PM, in the Zhalo Sports Complex of the Pucará canton in the province of Azuay.
The fairs are a space for participation that seek to bring citizens closer to citizens, especially those designed for early childhood, as well as allocate a space with a productive economic approach for the commercialization of local products. These meeting spaces with citizens will make visible the inter -institutional articulation to add efforts in the prevention and reduction of chronic child malnutrition nationwide.
The Concert of the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra will begin at 11 AM, under the baton of teacher, Ángeles Terreros Kuffó, guest director and the participation of the lyric Singer, Paulina Sánchez Cano.

Ángeles Terreros Kuffó, Director of Symphony and Composer Orchestra, conducted her studies at the Antonio Neumane Conservatory of Music and at the University of Specialties Spirit Holy in Guayaquil in which she received the Honor Cum Laude to the academic merit of the University. She began her postgraduate specialty studies in the direction of orchestra in Serbia with the teacher Leave Savic, artistic director of the National Opera Theater of Belgrade and later in Austria with the teacher Maksimiljan Cencic (+) pianist, pedagogue and musical director of the Opera Theater De Vienna, where she graduated with honors as director of Symphony Orchestra, with specialty in opera.
In Ecuador she has directed the symphonic orchestras of Quito, Guayaquil and Loja. In June 2017, with the production of the Franz Liszt Conservatory, under the general artistic direction of it was carried out with a resounding success, the national premiere of the Opera Pagliacci opera by the Ruggero Leoncavallo composer at the Bolívar Theater in Quito.
As an orchestra director, she maintains a constant artistic production with special disposition towards the musical training of children and young people through projects, collaborations and non-profit initiatives, promoting academic music and also musical research with emphasis on Ecuadorian music, highlighting the impulse and dissemination of Ecuadorian composers, especially composer women. In addition, as an orchestra arranger and composer, she has participated with her own works and coral and interpreted arrangements of different formats in several festivals and concerts inside and outside the country winning IFAIC competitive funds in 2019 and 2020.
Paulina Sánchez Cano, soprano. She was born in Quito, in a family of musicians, granddaughter of Mexican singer Joel Sánchez, founding musician of the Royal trio with Homero Hidrovo, and niece granddaughter of Guillermo Rodríguez the golden requinto of America. She grows and forms between Mexican musical culture and Ecuadorian national folklore. She began her studies at the National Conservatory of Quito, receiving classes with distinguished masters of the capital such as Francisco Piedra, Cecilia Tapia, María Fernanda Argotti and also the international pedagogues Carmen Alonso (Cuba), Margot Parés-Reyna (Venezuela) and Zintzuni Cardel from Mexico.
The Cuenca Symphony Orchestra makes available to the public its digital concert hall on YouTube where you can find most of the concerts presented so far since 2020.
