BBQ = Bird & Beast. A no-brainer

It is finally happening. Pájaro y Bestia is opening for business. Woo Hoo!

We open at 1 PM Friday and Saturday, and will close at 8 PM (or when we run out of food).

We will have a special lunch from 1 to 3 PM for walk-ins only. Please, no to go orders on the lunch special.

On the menu this week beginning at 3 PM:

• Smoked chicken thighs – quick seasoned with a traditional red BBQ rub
• High on the Hog sandwich – a traditional pulled pork sandwich complete with a dollop of slaw.
• Keep it on the Down Low – sandwich made from meat from below the pig’s ribs. A sort of cross between rib tips and pork belly. Meat is first smoked, chilled, and then quick fried before presented to you. Lettuce, tomato, and herbed mayo.
• Side dishes for the week:
— White potato salad
— Beans for the Beast – our own special recipe baked beans
— Mac & Cheese – makes your belly warm thinking about it

Smoked chicken plate – one thigh and two sides $4
High on the Hog plate – One sandwich and two sides $6.50
Keep it on the Down Low plate – One sandwich and two sides $6.50
