I found a golden retriever standing alone in the Tomebamba today – up to his neck in rain swollen water. I don’t know why he was there. I got him out and he followed me to my veterinarian where he is now. They will hold him for a few days and look for a home. I gave them money for food and treatment. He’s an old fellow and emaciated, but very sweet. If you’re in need of a companion, he’s available. I’d take him but I’m in an apartment with two cats already.
