Mujeres Con Exito will be holding its Garage Sale July 2. Money from the next few garage sale will be dedicated to installing a canopy in one of the rooms at Mujeres Con Exito and repairing the canopy in the room which already has a canopy.

These canopies help regulate the temperature for events held during the day. Mujeres Con Exito’s future plans include offering meeting space to organizations and groups with the Mujeres ladies providing catering. This valuable training will help these women gain skills that can translate into full time jobs in the community. Having a space that is comfortable will help increase use and demand.

The quantity and quality of donated items are what will make this Garage Sale a huge success. “As you do your spring cleaning, please keep us in mind,” said Mujeres Director, Diana Bravo. “All proceeds will go towards the canopy project.”

Boxing like-items together is helpful (for example, tools in one box, kitchen items in another, etc. The criteria for donations are simple: clean, unbroken, sellable items. “We welcome furniture and rugs, office equipment, tools, fishing gear, lawn and garden equipment, home décor items, kitchen items, electronics in working condition, toys, children’s clothes, games and sports equipment, linens and bedding (gently-used only) and working appliances.
