Textile storytelling

In Chile, people use textiles and fabrics to tell stories, called “Arpillera”. It is a common practice and a very fun and creative form of storytelling. At idiomART, we’re excited to offer our first ever Arpillera workshop with local textile designer and artist, Claudia Polo.

In this 2-day workshop, you will learn how to use different fabrics and simple embroidery to create 2D and 3D images to tell your story. The workshop will be held in English, however, Claudia is bilingual so both Spanish and English speakers are welcome.

This is going to be a very fun workshop and we hope you can come and be a part of it.

To register, please email us.

Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 from 10 AM – 1 PM, $75 (includes materials), Presidente Cordova 1-77 y Miguel Estrella; el centro, Cuenca.
