Colonial Cuenca – learn all about it!

At idiomART, we believe it’s important to understand the cultural that we live in, which is why we have started a Saturday Salon series. In this lecture series, we cover a wide variety of cultural and artistic topics to help us all better understand this incredible country.

In this salon, art historian Berenice Cárdenas will talk about colonial Cuenca in the 16th, 17th & 18th centuries and show a variety of images of churches and houses that helped make Cuenca an UNESCO World Heritage site. She will discuss colonial Spanish-Indigenous Cuenca, its architecture, art, lifestyle, food as well as the different European architectural styles and their reinterpretation in Cuenca, including times of the Republicans and Francophiles.

There is limited space, so please make a reservation ahead of time by eColonial Cuencamailing us.
