Taking pet to US

Yes, I know that you cannot take a dog to the United States at this time. But I still would like to know of a veterinarian that does microchips and can draw the titers and work with the approved laboratory in Brazil. Just trying to get my ducks lined up when the US lifts the ban.

Thanks,

Phone plans for text messages

I went to Jardin Azuay to open a bank account and they insisted that I need a local phone number to get text messages, even though I don’t need to call anybody who doesn’t have google voice, skype or zoom. I don’t need to add additional expenses to pay for services I don’t use and don’t want.

Does anyone know of phone plans that give you free text messages and minutes which don’t expire?

This little girl needs a loving home

This sweet and loving little girl was abandoned with her two little puppies in front of my home. I got them in my home, had them spayed and vaccinated. Fortunately, I was able to find loving homes for the two puppies. I need to find a home for the mother since I cannot keep her, I live alone and travel a lot. This little girl is extremely friendly and sweet, follows me everywhere around my home, all she wants is love. If interested please contact,

One-year old Lab-retriever mix needs a loving home

Wally is a one-year old male, who looks like a yellow-Lab mix and golden retriever mix, abandoned by his former owner. He’s a fairly big, but gentle dog, weighing around 50 lbs (23 kgs) right now. He’ll probably fill out to a bit more when he fully matures (60+ lbs maybe). He was found in pretty rough shape by someone who was able to provide immediate/urgent care, but who is unable to provide a stable home. Wally is extremely smart, friendly and engaging, enjoys human contact, and is playful with children and other dogs. He is house-trained and exhibits no aggressive behavior, he seems very trainable, and answers to his name. Although his current caretaker (who recently rescued him from the streets) is unable to provide a stable home for him, she intends to get him neutered within the next week or so.

The last survivor

This sweet puppy’s pregnant mother was rescued as she was about to be hanged from a tree. The poor mother doggie died shortly after birth and then sadly, three of the puppies died subsequently as well.

This is the last little survivor that needs a loving home. She is 3-months old.

This baby girl loves kitties! Do you have room in your home and heart for her?

Please contact me for a meet and greet.

Gramm Bulkshop / coca leaves

Dear friends, we want to share with you some information about coca leaves:

Coca tea has been heavily used by indigenous people in South America for thousands of years and is made by steeping the leaves of the coca plant in boiling water. This allows the powerful phytonutrients to infuse into the water. In many parts of South America, this tea is known as mate de coca, and the greenish-yellow color is reminiscent of green tea.

Recommendation for La Pizza de Juanja, restaurant

We ordered pizza from La Pizza De Juanja and were so delighted with the quality. It was the best pizza we’ve had in Cuenca. We have been here for six years, and have tried several pizza restaurants. This was by far the best. Thin crust, gourmet toppings and perfect pomodoro sauce. Looking forward to being there in person.

Recommendation for Hacienda Chan Chan, dairy

Want Buttermilk? My mother’s southern recipes call for buttermilk and baking soda in cornbread and biscuits. Despite following directions on how to make buttermilk from whole milk, I had not found a satisfactory solution until I asked Julie at Hacienda Chan Chan if she could supply buttermilk. It doesn’t look or taste like what I was used to, but it works for both the cornbread and biscuits. It also freezes well. Give it a try if you want buttermilk for cooking.
