Last month I lost my Cedula, and discovered that you can’t live without one in Ecuador. I contacted my longtime friend and facilitator, Victor Ojeda. Over the almost 9 years living in Ecuador, Victor has helped me with a variety of needs in medical, legal, immigration, insurance, car and motorcycle purchases, just to name a few. I believe that Victor is unique in his approach to working with expats. Victor has developed contacts in just about every field you might need help with. He knows their procedures, and has copies of documents for a variety of banks and other businesses that requires forms be completed. He will save you the time of having to go and collect the forms, and help you fill them out before even visiting many of the businesses you might need to go to, saving you wasted time waiting for your turn.
When I found out the procedure needed to replace my Cedula, I knew I could not accomplish it on my own. Victor knew the procedure to a tee, and together we began the process. Three visits to the Immigration office in Azogues, two visits to the airport, a couple of trips to the bank, and a variety of copies of different documents. In addition, just the time spent in Azogues going from office to office to office inside the facility, and so on. Victor made the whole process appear seamless, but it was time consuming, and to me complicated. But in the end, I received my new Cedula, and could have never done it without Victor’s knowledge and professionalism.
If you have any needs, no matter how large or small, I highly recommend Victor. He has always shown me to be personable, reliable, sincere and caring, and my go to guy[JS1] .
