Nunkui store gallery closes the store in Cuenca

The Nunkui project, is a fair trade proposal that aims to generate local development alternatives in indigenous communities of the Ecuadorian Amazon. In this sense, approximately two years ago we opened our gallery store in the city of Cuenca. It has been a time of much learning, where we have met wonderful people, who have been part of the Nunkui project. To you, our dear clients and friends, we extend a deep appreciation.

With the Covid-19 pandemic, the situation has become very complicated for the store and the communities we work with, and as a project, we believe that right now, it is important to provide more local support to the communities.

For this reason, we have made the decision to close our store in the city of Cuenca. We have a great commitment to artisans, so we will continue to buy their products, which you can find in our online store.

Like Nunkui, we are working on conservation projects, sustainable production, education, microcredit support program, among others. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us.

This week, it will be the last of attention to the public, from Monday, August 2, until Friday, August 6, we will be open from 10 AM to 1 PM and from 2:30 to 5 PM. If you want to make advance purchases for holidays, or simply have pieces of indigenous art, we are waiting for you.

Thank you all and we will soon be informing you of the new activities and proposals of Nunkui.
