Last month´s fundraiser for Alex and Vanesa and the Cultural Club of Cuenca met with success.
There were many folks who donated $100 or more so we wanted to especially acknowledge those folks.
Most did not want to be mentioned.
One $100 donation was in made in honor of the CCN Language School.
Keep your eye out for more fundraisers. We need $4,700 to pay for new computers and a quality sound system.
Alex and Vanesa have great talents and greater hearts as the help Cuenca grow in its rich culture. They also help young Ecuadorians develop into future performers. Thank-you Alex and Vanesa for your commitment to the arts and to people. Abrazos.
Hello everyone, I hope you are well, writes Nathaly Vivas. Some of you know me as Chef Nathaly.
Last year my Niece was diagnosed with leukemia and some of you helped me. That time was a very difficult time for our family as we did not know how difficult this situation was and for all that our baby only 2-years old would have to go through. Thanks to you and the help of our family Naomi started her treatment on time and now that it has been almost a year and our baby is 3-years old, we are asking for the help of anyone who can help us either with a collaboration or by sharing our campaign.
Naomi has fought this year day by day with this disease and doctors say that God and the Universe are helping us and her treatment is taking effect now we need to continue treatment but we really need the help of anyone who can collaborate
We have created a campaign Gofund.me to raise funds so that we can continue to fight with this disease. We trust in God and that all this will end one day, and that our baby will be cancer-free and ready to continue her life and continue to discover the world.
I thank you in advance for your cooperation and I know that the universe will reward you for it.
I attach some photos. The first few are from the first few days of treatment and the last few are from these last days.

The World Health Organization warned that the situation of the coronavirus pandemic continues to be “serious” despite the first signs of a decrease in contagion and reiterated its defense of the efficacy of AstraZeneca’s vaccine against covid -19 against the misgivings of some countries by detected anomalous cases.
“You have to be clear: early signs of decline are not the same as low transmission rates. Transmission must be reduced and kept at low levels, harnessing our energy and stamina to defeat the virus, “WHO-Europe director Hans Kluge said at a press conference.
Europe has just exceeded one million deaths and 1.6 million cases of coronavirus are registered every week, which is equivalent to 160 per minute.

The food that is offered is exquisite, the same one that has a wide variety of flavors that move us evoking emotions. Lamaria tells us that she was born paying tribute to the fighter and entrepreneurial woman who with determination and continuous work has achieved her goals.
At the end of my experience at Lamaria I ended up very satisfied as the portions were abundant, and the food had unique flavors.

Hello friends, we present you a Venezuelan delicacy and yet also a vegetarian to lick your fingers. The Vegetarian Cachapa, I will tell you, is a delicious tortilla made from fresh yellow corn, ground (pancake style but made from corn), zero gluten, it is filled with soft white cheese from this beautiful region, with slices of fried yellow banana, beans as we call it. We go to the black beans. It also has a delicious grated llanero cheese and topped with a delicate layer of avocado, finally with a cream cheese or cream topping.
Is it a delight or not? Always available in our menu of typical Venezuelan dishes to enjoy it whenever you want, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The idea is very simple. We cater only to your group (4 or more). We understand that we are under a global pandemic and we must remain vigilant. For that very reason, La Guarida is open for private dinner reservations on Fridays and Saturdays. Our menu has the most incredible seafood choices (provided by CuencaSalmon), an incredible beef tenderloin provided by our Nunkui friends and of course vegan and vegetarian choices. We love keeping our menu fresh, delicious and organic. We continue to be the #1 best rated restaurant in TripAdvisor. We love what we do and love to delight everyone with delicious flavors.
We are on the Tranvía Path. Stay on La Cuadra Station. Can’t miss us.
