Looking for 2 bedroom apartment for rent
Looking for 2 bedroom furnished apartment for rent in Cuenca, $300-$450

I need to find a place to rent six months minimum, that is secure, won’t mind me playing acoustic guitar at all hours, furnished, utilities included, access to nature, and close to shopping, medical/dental offices, $400 a month or less. Who do I need to contact? Also, I will need a personal facilitator as my Spanish is minimal. Blessings and Balance,

Looking for a translator/interpreter? Are you struggling with internet?

I am Maria Penafiel, a law student. A little background about myself: I am 24-years old, and I speak fluent English, along with that I have also studied German, and as of now, I am studying Italian. I love diversity which is why I love to travel. I have been to Italy, the US, and also have traveled within Ecuador. I’ve been to the Galapagos, the Amazon, Chimborazo, Quito and Banos de Ambato. My beautiful country is full of diversity and I am excited for you to get to experience it. I am already planning my upcoming trip. I am currently working in a local law firm while working on my thesis (Senior project as you might know it), so I’m almost ready to get my law degree.

I have many different work experiences such as labor law, family, company incorporation, civil and criminal issues, and mediation. I have experience in translating legal or non-legal documents. Therefore, I can assist or advise and translate papers that you need to do at the notary’s office, but my experience is not limited to law; if you have any day-to-day errands and the language barrier is an issue, I can help you with it.

I can help you with real estate, leaving the country, buying or renting apartments, houses, vehicles. Also, I know you deserve to get the service that you have paid for, therefore, I can help you communicate with any company and/or person that you might need. I am not a health insurance agent and do not represent any company but speak English fluently. If your agent is not helpful, I can advocate on your behalf to get the health care benefits you deserve.

I do not solve Internet problems, but I can help you deal with the Internet provider to report slow Internet or Internet cuts. I can help you with any difficulty you may have with service bills, telephone plans, electricity or water bills, coordination between hospitals and health insurance plans, etc. Don’t miss those special promotions. As you might know, Internet/cable services and many more, have special sales when you ask for it. I can help you look for a cheaper alternative that is better suited for you. So don’t be shy. I can intermediate as an interpreter to get the best deal for you. If you need to shop or go out on the town and need a translator, I can help you to break the language barrier.

I charge $9.50 an hour, but if you need more than two hours you can get a discount. If we need to go in person to an office and you need transportation we can go in my car, it will be an extra (but usually it is minimal). Rest assured that we have all the security measures in place, we protect you and ourselves. I’m happy to help you in any way I can.

I can come for you or we can meet at a specific place in the city. Let’s get you the best “Cuencana” experience.

Let me be your translator and advocate, I want to be able to help you so you can communicate.

I’m looking for a white, American lady who lived in Guayaquil a few years ago. She gave me lots of books for my son since she had home schooled all of her children. She also had some adult children who taught music classes in Guayaquil. I’m trying to get in contact with one of the children to see if their music school is still running. Do you like coffee with a high aroma and flavor? this post is for you

Arabica coffee is considered a much more select and refined grain than the rest. True coffee lovers always tend to choose this variety, rather than a more earthy and robust bean.

I am Andrés Guillermo, the only distributor in Cuenca and Azuay of 100% Arabian coffee, grown and harvested at 1,300 meters above sea level, in the province of Zaruma. I have roasted coffee in two presentations: ground and beans, 450-gram bags so that you can make your breakfast or afternoon coffee a delicious experience in your mouth. What is the ideal mask to avoid the spread of covid-19?

With the British variant circulating, what is the ideal mask to avoid the spread of covid-19?

The arrival of the British variation of covid-19 in Ecuador has concerned both medical personnel in the country and the general public.

For this reason, it is necessary – now more than ever – to maintain the practices that during 2020 prevented thousands of infections: the use of a mask, constant hand washing and the respective biosecurity and social distancing protocols.

In August 2020, Duke University researchers developed a simple and inexpensive optical device that allows measuring the ability of a mask to block respiratory droplets that infect COVID-19, by making them visible using laser light and counting them using a computer algorithm. .

During the trials of this new device, it was confirmed that when people speak, they expel droplets, so that the coronavirus disease can be transmitted by talking, without coughing or sneezing, according to physician Eric Westman and physicist and chemist Martin Fischer, co-authors of this research.

Using this method, the experts found that the best face covers are the hospital-grade, valved KN95 masks used by healthcare workers. (Source: BBC.com)

I am Andrés Guillermo, authorized distributor for Cuenca and Azuay of these masks, imported from the USA, comfortable, light, adaptable to any face, their use does not cloud the lenses, they can be used by children or adults. I sell them by unit or by box of 20 units. Laminated to avoid manipulation. Contact me WhatsApp 099 647 2877 or call me, free home service.

Spanish: stop translating in your head and start thinking in Spanish

Imagine this: A Spanish speaker comes up to you and starts speaking to you in Spanish.

How do you see yourself? What do you do?

Are you fumbling for words?

Stuttering and pausing for long periods of time as you translate in your head and think about the different verb conjugations, etc.?

Because if you are, then pay close attention to what I’m about to share with you.

If you’re not, then this isn’t for you. You can stop reading now.

But if you are having trouble recalling the words you need in a conversation, then it’s time to make some changes because this is a problem.

You cannot achieve fluency if you’re translating everything in your head first.

This is why you’re fumbling and why you don’t feel confident speaking Spanish.

It’s not because you’re slow, or not good with languages… it’s not even because you’re too old to learn.

Translation can be helpful when you’re just starting out but then you must begin to train your brain to think in Spanish.

If you’re not thinking in Spanish, then you can’t have a fluid conversation.

It’s that simple.

So how do you teach your brain to think in Spanish?

There are a number of things you can do but the most important thing is learning through meaningful context and this is something my team and I at Spanish To Fluency can help you with.

After initially struggling to learn Spanish as an adult and finally becoming fluent, as well as helping several other expats communicate more effectively, I’ve taken all of what I’ve learned along the way and used it to create my Spanish To Fluency 12-Week Bootcamp Program.

I’ve also found it extremely effective to incorporate some key aspects of neuroscience into our program.

When you can understand more about how your brain works and what it’s natural learning processes are, you can create a brain-friendly learning environment that facilitates the process and accelerates results.

If you’d like to discuss things further to see if it’d be a good fit for you, you can visit out website at http://www.spanishtofluency.com and book a free consultation.

What our 12 Week Bootcamp consists of:

– Conversation practice with native speakers from Latin America (this is an online program) – Personalized language coaching and support
– The Neuroscience behind learning a foreign language
– A customized daily action plan
– Customized recommendations, strategies and learning resources
– Personalized feedback and instruction (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, comprehension, etc.)

We have 5 spots left for a February start and they fill up fast, so book your free consultation today: https://go.oncehub.com/NadinedePanta

Recommendation for Dr. Stella Marina Gonzalez, psychologist

I would like to recommend Stella Marina Gonzalez as a therapist for pandemic-related stress. Dr. Stella has a pragmatic approach that gets results quickly. I have also found her willing to go the extra distance when things get very difficult, such as with major medical issues that also contribute to stress. Dr. Stella was a resident of the US for almost a decade, so she is both fluent in English and with North American culture. Her video sessions worked well without office visits. In the midst of the global health emergency, I consider myself fortunate to have found her.

Bossa Nova, Jazz, and More for Valentines Day

Celebrating Valentines Day, Gary & Eva will play music at the restaurant Al Sur de Granada — right next to the Galeria de Miguel Illescas and a block or so from the Banco Central and Museo Pumapungo (Calle Larga 1-209 y Miguel Angel Estrella) — on Saturday, February 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Our mix of bossa nova, jazz standards, Beatles, plus a bit of blues and Motown and guitar instrumentals brings a romantic and entertaining atmosphere to your evening. Check out some of the music on the My Songs page of http://www.garycparksmusic.com, which has about a dozen and a half of our tunes plus many others.

Looking forward to seeing you there to enjoy a tasty meal with wine and beer and music. Chef Victor has prepared a special menu for the evening. You’ll have space to socially distance, and some open air for ventilation.

February 13, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, Al Sur de Granada, Calle Larga 1-209 y Miguel Angel Estrella
